Refund policy
1. Return period
In addition to your legal right of withdrawal, we offer you the possibility to request a return within 30 calendar days from the date the carrier confirms delivery (hand delivery, mailbox drop-off, or pickup point collection).
This period applies even if the parcel was not retrieved immediately. After this deadline, return requests will no longer be accepted. This commercial return is subject to the eligibility conditions below.
According to our Terms and Conditions, the risk and responsibility of the parcel are transferred to you as soon as delivery is completed by the carrier.
2. Eligibility conditions
To be accepted, any return must:
• Be in its original condition, unworn, unused, clean, and complete
• Include all tags, accessories, and documents provided
• Be in the original packaging, intact
Any return not meeting these conditions may be:
• Refused and returned at the customer’s expense, or
• Partially refunded if the product shows depreciation
In accordance with Article L.221-23 of the French Consumer Code, we reserve the right to apply a reduction to the refund if the product has been worn or used beyond what is necessary to determine its nature, characteristics, and proper functioning.
3. Return procedure

Send a written request to contact@thisisforeign.com, including: order number, reason for return, and photos if necessary.

Wait for written approval from our customer service specifying the return address.

Ship the product according to the instructions. Items returned without prior written approval or to a different address will not be processed and will not be refunded.
We recommend using a trackable shipping service.
4. Return costs
• Our fault (defective or incorrect product): we will bear the return shipping costs and send a replacement item free of charge after receiving and verifying the returned product, to the original delivery address and via the same carrier.
• Other situations (customer change of mind, order error, failure to collect parcel, wrong address provided by the customer…): return shipping costs are entirely the customer's responsibility.
5. Damages and delivery issues
The customer must visually inspect the parcel upon delivery by the carrier.
If visible damage is detected, the parcel must be refused and immediately reported to customer service.
If a defect or damage is discovered after delivery, you must notify us by email within 48 hours of the actual delivery date, including photos of the parcel and the item. After this period, we may not be able to process your claim.
6. Non-returnable items
No returns will be accepted for:
• Products not meeting the conditions above
• Perishable goods (food, plants)
• Personalized or custom-made items
• Opened or used hygiene and personal care products
• Hazardous materials, flammable liquids, or gases
• Gift cards
This list may be updated at any time.
7. Exchanges
To receive a different item, you must:
• Return the original item following the rules above
• Place a separate new order once your return has been confirmed
8.1 EU Right of Withdrawal (14 calendar days)
For orders delivered within the European Union, you have a legal right to withdraw within 14 calendar days from the actual delivery date, without providing any reason. The conditions listed above (condition, packaging, procedure) still apply.
This legal right of withdrawal is separate from our 30-day commercial return policy.
If you wish to exercise your right of withdrawal, you must notify us before the 14-day period ends:

• Using the standard form below or by any clear declaration of your decision to withdraw.
You must return the items in their original and complete condition (packaging, accessories, notice) no later than 14 days after notifying us. Return shipping costs are your responsibility unless the return is due to our error.
We will refund the product price and the standard delivery costs within 14 days of your withdrawal notification. We may delay the refund until we have received the items or until you provide proof of shipment—whichever happens first.
Exclusions listed in Article L.221-28 of the French Consumer Code apply (personalized items, perishable goods, opened sealed hygiene products, etc.).

9. Refunds
Once we have received and inspected your returned item, we will notify you of acceptance or refusal.
If accepted, the refund will be issued to the original payment method within 14 calendar days of your withdrawal notification. This period may be delayed until we have physically received the product or until you provide proof of shipment—the earliest of the two applies.
This timeline may vary depending on your bank; we are not responsible for additional delays caused by your bank.
No refund will be issued before the physical reception and verification of the returned product.
10. Changes to this policy
Foreign reserves the right to modify this policy at any time. Only the version in effect at the time of purchase will apply.
